Who runs this site

Mainframe Mom operates mainframemom.com and the Mainframe app at app.mainframemom.com. Mainframe Mom is Jessica Gerber, doing business as Mainframe Mom and, for the household app and its text messages, as Mainframe, in New York. The terms of service cover the paid app. For anything in this policy — questions, corrections, deletions — email hello@mainframemom.com. A real person reads it.

What we collect

• Your email and first name — when you join the waitlist or unlock a free resource. That’s the whole form. We use it to send you the thing you asked for, a short welcome series, and occasional emails about new resources and products.
• Purchase details — when you buy a kit, checkout happens on Stripe. We receive your email and what you bought so we can deliver it. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us. We never see it and never store it.
• Standard server logs — our host (Vercel) keeps routine technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

What we don’t do

• No ad pixels or fingerprinting scripts on this site. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.
• No advertising or tracking cookies set by us.
• We never sell your data. Not to anyone, not for anything.
• We never share it for anyone’s marketing. The service providers below process it only to run the site and the app for us.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the categories of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.

The services under the hood

A few outside services process data on our behalf. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

• Kit (kit.com) stores our email list — your email, first name, and which resources you’ve unlocked. Kit’s privacy policy
• Stripe processes payments. Stripe’s privacy policy
• Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs. Vercel’s privacy policy
• Google Fonts serves this site’s typefaces, which means your browser requests them from Google’s servers. Google’s privacy policy
• Google Workspace holds the Mainframe mailbox that receives what you forward, and Google Forms collects applications and the free sort. Google’s privacy policy
• Twilio is the carrier connection Mainframe sends texts through, acting only on our instructions. It does not receive your opt-in data for any purpose of its own. Twilio’s privacy policy

If you reach us through Instagram or Facebook (including comment-keyword replies), those interactions happen on Meta’s platforms under Meta’s privacy policy.

Mainframe, the household service

Mainframe is different from the rest of this site, because it works with your household’s actual information. Here is the whole of it, in plain words.

• Who reads it. Jessica, and the AI tools she runs (Anthropic’s Claude, through her own account). No other person. Nothing you send is used to train any AI model. Nothing is sold, shared, or shown to anyone outside your household.
• What we collect. First names and ages of the people in your household, adult mobile numbers and emails, what you type or say into the form, emails you forward to your Mainframe address, screenshots or PDFs you send, and the rules you set. From that we build your Household Brain and your weekly plans. We ask for first names only: no last names, addresses, school names, or account numbers.
• Where it lives. In a private folder for your household only, in private storage under Jessica’s accounts, and in the mail and text services used to reach you. Never public, never in a shared workspace.
• How long. Raw forwarded emails are deleted 30 days after the item is handled. Attachments are deleted after 60 days. Your Household Brain and plans are kept while you are subscribed. When you leave, your whole folder is deleted within 7 days and we confirm by email.
• Delete it any time. Reply DELETE to any email from us, or text DELETE to the Mainframe number. Everything is gone within 7 days, and you get a confirmation. This also cancels the service.
• Kids. Mainframe stores children’s first names, ages, and schedules because that is what a household plan is. We never text children, never create accounts for them, and never collect more than the plan needs.

Text messages (SMS)

Mainframe (Jessica Gerber) texts an adult about their household plan only after that adult enters their own mobile number in the app, ticks an unticked consent box, and replies YES to one confirmation text.

• What we collect: your mobile number, when you agreed, and your YES, STOP, HELP and task replies.
• How we use it: only to send the Mainframe texts you asked for (a decision that needs you, your Weekly Brief link, a task handed to you) and to read your replies. Never marketing.
• Message frequency varies, typically a few messages per week and never more than three in a day.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@mainframemom.com.
• No sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the categories of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.

Email, on your terms

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and the emails stop. No exit survey, no “are you sure,” no winding down over six weeks.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Depending on where you live (the EU/UK under GDPR, California under the CCPA, and elsewhere), some of these are legal rights — but you don’t need to cite a statute. Email hello@mainframemom.com and we’ll handle it, usually within a few days and always within 30.

We keep your information only as long as you’re subscribed or as long as we need it to deliver what you bought. Records of purchases stick around as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Kids

This site is for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from a child. The one place children appear is Mainframe, where a parent gives us first names, ages, and schedules to build a household plan (see the section above). If a kid signed up for anything here on their own, email us and we’ll delete it.

When this policy changes

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top. Meaningful changes — new tools, new data — get called out to the email list, not buried in a diff.
